This Privacy Policy explains how Avidit Studios ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit Gaali Atlas India. We are committed to minimal data collection — this Platform does not require account creation, and most features work without providing any personal information.

• Voluntary submissions: When you submit a new gaali, variant, correction, or comment, we collect the display name you provide (which can be "Anonymous") and the content of your submission.
• Age verification: A flag indicating you have confirmed you are 18+ is stored in your browser's local storage. We do not collect or verify your actual age or identity.
• Usage analytics: Aggregate, non-personally-identifiable counts of page views, searches, and shares per entry, used to power our "Trending" features.
• Technical data: Standard web server logs (such as browser type and approximate request timing) may be collected by our hosting provider for security and rate-limiting purposes.

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or precise geolocation data.

3. How We Use Information

Information collected is used solely to operate and improve the Platform: displaying community contributions, moderating submissions, generating trending content, and maintaining security through rate-limiting. We do not sell, rent, or use this information for targeted advertising.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

The Platform uses browser local storage (not third-party tracking cookies) for two purposes: remembering that you have passed the 18+ age verification gate, and caching search results temporarily to improve performance. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings, though doing so will require you to re-confirm your age on your next visit.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share user-submitted display names or comments with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the Platform (e.g., our backend infrastructure provider, Google Workspace, which hosts our database). We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Data Retention

Approved community submissions (gaalis, variants, comments) are retained indefinitely as part of the public archive, consistent with the Platform's purpose as a permanent linguistic record. Rejected submissions may be retained for moderation history purposes. You may request removal of a specific submission by contacting us through the submission form.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information you have provided. Since we collect minimal personal data and most submissions are voluntary and pseudonymous, many requests can be resolved simply by identifying the specific submission in question and contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy

This Platform is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has submitted content, we will remove it promptly.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical measures, including rate-limiting and input sanitization, to protect the Platform and its data from abuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any information transmitted to the Platform.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
